For the short amount of time I was taking lessons with Jay he opened a lot of improvisational doors for me. I was still in a very formative stage of my guitar learning, not having played much blues or jazz staying mainly within a heavy metal genre with a project i had been working with. Jay opened up a whole new world of bluesy, jazzy improvisation that i had previously been only slightly acquainted with through my familiarity with classic rock and roll. I feel as though I've developed a unique improvisational style on both guitar and violin and I would like to think Jay had a big hand in giving me the foundational blocks that helped me on my ongoing musical journey.

Jason’s passion and love of music and guitar is truly an inspiration to his students. His patience put his students at ease. He is dedicated to helping them achieve their goals.
My son Koty was Jason’s student for 8 years. During that time he went from a 10 year old boy only looking to learn a few riffs on an electric guitar to an accomplished classical guitarist. With Jason’s encouragement he attended many music festivals usually taking top honors. I was particularly touched when Jason and his wife made the long trip to London for the provincial music festival to support his competition performance.
Koty decided to pursue a university music degree. Jason went above and beyond in assisting him with preparation for the auditions required for acceptance into his program. He has now completed university and is now following in Jason’s footsteps teaching guitar and music theory. I know he is great at it because he had an awesome teacher. Thanks Jason!

Guitar lessons with Jason were a great opportunity to grow musically while being able to express myself creatively in a safe environment. Jason introduced guitar to me through the essential steps of methodology and technique while still helping me achieve my goals of ultimately being able to play the songs I was interested in. In particular I am gratefull for the encouragement and advice Jason gave me as I began writing my own music.
Guitar lessons at Jason's studio have fostered an on going love of making music for me! Thanks, Jay!

Jason was my guitar teacher every Saturday morning for about three years. He was a very informative, supportive, and enthusiastic teacher! He taught me everything I needed to know as a beginner and continuously helped me practice my skills and learn the songs that I wanted to play. Jason listens and respects your goals as a student of music, and works with you to ensure you understand everything he's teaching. I would highly recommend White's Guitar Studio to any student - beginner or intermediate - who wants to learn new skills, perfect existing ones, have fun and build a meaningful relationship!

Jason is an outstanding music teacher and mentor. Through Jason’s individual and unique approach, he not only enabled my son Benjamin to fulfill his dreams of playing both acoustic and electric guitar, he instilled a lifelong love of music. Jason reaches his students through a genuine respectful relationship that allows the learner to feel confident in their abilities while stretching them to work harder. He has a true calling and had found his niche growing musical minds.

When I first started guitar, I felt it was a strange instrument because I’d been on piano for so long. After working with just chords, it caught my interest and then I moved to classical guitar. It is probably the biggest challenge in my whole life – very difficult – but with Jason’s gentle ways of instructing and motivation, he has been able to develop my abilities in a way that gives me a great sense of achievement and accomplishment. He is very patient with questions and concerns, and is able to get the best out of his pupils. I plan to stay with classical guitar for as long I can – thanks to Jason!

My son Eric went to
Jason for guitar lesson for over 8 eights. I wanted my son to go to a guitar
teacher that made learning fun and easy and that is exactly what Jason did.
Jason made sure that the lessons were geared to what Eric liked. I didn’t have
to make Eric practice his guitar each day because he was constantly playing the
guitar because he enjoyed it so much. I would highly recommend Jason White.
Jason White is a very professional and experienced guitar teacher. I have taken lessons with Jason for over 8 years and he is by far the best music teacher that I have ever had. Jason helped me to enjoy playing guitar by teaching me the music that I like in an easy way to learn. I would recommend Jason to anyone looking to learn to play guitar casually and to people looking to go farther with guitar.
